#StayHome Egg Hunt Ideas

stayhome-easter_square

As someone who lived in a city apartment with no backyard access for more than 7 years, I certainly appreciate creativity when it comes to Easter Egg Hunts. What we lack in space to hide bunches of eggs we have to make up in creativity..

This year with social distancing, staying home and quarantine upon us, it is not just apartment dwellers that need to figure out how to set up the egg hunt inside. With the #quarantinelife friendly ideas we can make the egg hunt a bit harder and make it an opportunity to be much more fun for the whole family to get involved. Here are some ideas to make an awesome ‘STAY HOME’ Egg Hunt.

Make it a party

Send out invitations, decorate the house, balcony or garden and set the stage for some fun. Fun modern pastels and a hint of glam is all you need to spruce up your house party. Check out this set on our Etsy Shop.

Privilege Cards

It is hard to fit good prizes inside those small plastic eggs. Hide Privilege Cards that can be used to get out of chores, buy extra iPad or story time. Spruce up the self isolation and homeschooling period with these treats cards that they can exchange for like Extra Netflix time. We have created a fun printable that you can download with super cute egg shaped cards you can cut and stick into those plastic eggs. There are even some blank ones you or your kids can use to personalise their privileges. Download the printable here. What a fun hunt this will be!

Make it action packed

Fill Easter eggs with little strips of directions for actions they have to do to work out all those treats your kids find in the eggs. Choose less sugary treats for healthier options, like crackers, vitamin gummies, Fade Fit Kids Protein balls or dried fruit.

Leave clues to make it a treasure hunt

Download our scavenger hunt clues and hide them around the house to make the egg hunt more fun. The clues will make the kids hunt from room to room and hopefully burn off some more of those calories and exercise the brain as well. Great break from all that distant learning!

Hunting for the right words can be just so much fun. Either make your own with words that give clues to the egg hunt or Download this FREE one  we created and include it as a puzzle in one of the eggs. It can me a great activity for after they found all the eggs.

Its whats inside that counts

Besides the normal chocolates treats I have to also always be extra creative as my daughter has a nut and chocolate allergy. Fill the eggs with non edible treats like erasers, hair-clips, Legos, or games. Add a puzzle pieces inside each egg. Kids will have to find them all to solve the puzzle.

Old fashioned Egg and Spoon Race
