Circus themed parties have become very popular in recent years and I can see why. The stripes, animals, and childhood charm of the traditional circus lends itself well to a happy celebration.
When a very dear friend asked me to design the printables for her circus themed party for her two daughters, who were turning 1 and 4, Cirque des Soeurs, or the Sister’s Circus theme began to take shape. She chose a red and aqua theme for the entire décor. She wanted printables to decorate the tiny details she so painstakingly planned. There was an elaborate candy display, home made canapés for the grown ups, a photobooth, face painting stations and even an old fashioned pop corn machine, and circus piñata. She planned everything to perfection with the food and set up. The printables added the finishing touch on a perfectly thought-out layout.
For the invitation, I chose to highlight the big top idea with the red and aqua being the 2 prevalent colours. And that set the tone for the entire party décor. The cake featured 2 circus animals and the ages and names of both the sisters, the cake itself was on a rotating pedestal so that you could have a 360 deg view of it.
