HOW MUCH DO CUSTOM INVITATIONS COST?
There are many variables to take into account when quoting invitations: quantity desired, number of inserts, paper, printing methods, envelopes, layers, pocketfolds, etc. Pricing starts at $7 per set for flat print, $13 per set for foil stamping, or $16 per set for letterpress. These prices are calculated on a minimum order of 100 sets. A set includes the invitation on cotton paper with matching blank envelopes.

WHEN SHOULD I MAIL MY INVITATIONS TO MY GUESTS?­­
You should mail your Save-the-Dates at least 6-8  months prior to your wedding or 12 months for a destination location. Invitations should be mailed 2-3 months before your big day. So you should ideally start with your wedding stationery at least 3 months before your mailing date.

WHAT TYPES OF PRINTING METHODS ARE AVAILABLE
Several methods of printing are offered depending on your timeline and budget. Flat printing, also called digital, is the fastest, allows limitless colors, requires no minimum quantities and is friendly on the budget. Other options include old fashioned letterpress, offset printing and foil stamping. Letterpress printing adds deep impressions and vibrant colors to paper, bringing it to life. Foil stamping produces a gorgeous shiny metallic look that is classic and increasing in popularity in wedding stationery.

WHAT TYPE OF PAPER DO YOU USE?
Our flat print wedding invitations are professionally printed in unlimited colours on thick 300gsm Soft White, Ecru, Ivory matt or pearlescent paper. Our luxe upgrades are printed on 400gsm 100%
cotton paper.
Foil stamped stationery is printed on 300gsm cotton or pearlescent paper, or upgrade
to luxe 400gsm or Super Luxe 850gsm double thick sheet. 
Letterpress stationery is printed on Soft White, heavy 450gsm 100% cotton paperor upgrade to super luxe Color Plan sheets. There are MANY other options available! Request for our Price list and guide to get more details.

WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT POLICIES + METHODS ACCEPTED?

Payment for services is submitted through an online transfer or cash payment. All design project payments are due in two parts, a 50% non-refundable payment is due prior to work beginning and to hold your spot in the queue and cover the time we spend in research and initial drafts. The second half of the project payment is delivered at project completion, before the final files are delivered. All print costs are due before items are sent to the printer.Cash, Personal Check or PayPal. Online transfer is the preferred method of payment, as it is the most convenient for clients all over the world.

I’M A BRIDE ON A BUDGET; CAN YOU STILL WORK WITH ME?
We believe we have a suite for every bride. Although most premium finishes do come with a higher price tag. Let us know during our initial consultation of any budget restraints and we can offer suggestions on how we could work within your budget.
Here are some suggestions on keeping costs down.

A few general ways to keep prices down:
– flat print some or all pieces in your order
– use one ink color for letterpress
– use foil stamping on the invitation only, and letterpress for the other pieces
– combine separate inserts into a single card
– direct guests to your wedding website with a small insert, instead of multiple inserts for directions and accommodations

CAN YOU PROVIDE WORDINGS FOR MY INVITATIONS?

We do direct you with some wedding invitation wording ideas, however if you’d like something specific or in different languages, we ask that you provide the exact wording. We can offer advice on etiquette and provide wording templates for various items of stationery.

WILL YOU DESIGN A SAMPLE BEFORE PAYMENT?
Unfortunately, no. Because of the time involved in creating your invitations, we cannot create a sample  or begin any designs before a deposit is received on a custom order. We do however show you a large selection of samples of our past work, so that you can be confident of the quality of your finished order.

DO YOU PROOF READ?
To an extent. We will try to catch any obvious errors if at all possible. Proofreading is ultimately your responsibility. Please, proof, proof, proof! We can’t stress enough the importance of making sure your invitations are error free before they go to press to ensure you stick to your budget and deadline. They will only be sent to the printer after an approval from you. We will not be responsible for any delays or extra costs involved in reprinting invitations if errors are discovered after production begins.

IN LOVE WITH AN INVITATION THAT YOU DESIGNED ON YOUR WEBSITE. WILL YOU BE ABLE TO REPRODUCE THE EXACT SAME DESIGN FOR ME?
Unfortunately, we will not be able to. Each invitation is created custom for each client and an exact replica cannot be reproduced. If you see a particular design that you just love, we can keep that style in mind when designing your one-of-a-kind invitations. We will also be launching our Signature Collection, which is a new ready- to- order collection. It will feature original designs and some of our favourite work from our past clients.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M NOT SATISFIED?
We are happy to say that we have had more happy customers than dissatisfied ones. And we work hard to keep it that way. At the beginning of the design process we do a consultation with you to make sure our styles are on the same page and we will be able to collaborate together to create your design. When you purchase a package you will pay a 50% non-refundable deposit. We are proud to say it has never happened before, but if you feel we are not creating the design and look that you wanted to achieve you will not be required to pay the remaining balance. Because of the custom nature of our work, once your order is printed we cannot accept returns. Please read more about this in our terms and conditions.

HOW SOON CAN I START?

If you are lucky, immediately! Our availability can be limited due to demand and on-going projects. We are only able to take on a few custom clients a month to ensure thet each design get the time it deserves. We urge our clients to book a consultation as soon as they have their venue confirmed.  Some life events like wedding packages may take up to 5 months for completion and baby showers up to a few weeks. We try our best to stay on schedule according to the personalised timeline we sent you when you book us, but cannot always guarantee strict time frames. We do have a reputation of sticking to our end of the deal with deliveries but we urge you to start your wedding stationery design at least 6-8 months in prior to your big day so that we can offer you the best product that is not rushed due to strict deadlines.

 We make it a point to spend more time with each client to get to know them as people, their tastes, their hobbies, their families and their stories. Our speciality lies in taking your raw ideas and converting them to images and typography that depicts your event in a way only beautiful paper goods can. Even though we have our own style, we strive to make each project independent from the other and create a design that not only represents our client but is memorable and unique. You can immediately feel the love we put into our work when you get your hands on one of our exquisitely crafted invitations.

DO YOU HAVE SET BUSINESS HOURS?
Yes we do, we want to respect our clients time as well as our family’s time and work to keep them both happy. We are located in Dubai and our work week runs from Sunday to Thursday. But you can email us at any time at hello@pretapapierdesign.com or call us Sunday through Thursday between 8:30am and 6:30pm. We typically respond to any after hour emails the following business day. Tell us all about your wedding on our convenient Wedding Booking Form and we will set up a consultation for you at our earliest.
